To create product shots of the glasses, not just plain product shots, the glasses needed to be in an environment that matched their colour and theme. This is where years of experience and years of collecting props come into play.
On shoot day, a selection of props was available in the studio to be based on the conversations we had, and then the fun began. Creating the scene with them to make the glasses pop and fit their intended marketing campaigns.
The camera was tethered to the computer so that every product shot appeared on the big screen, and the smallest of details could be examined and checked before the shot was signed off.
As with every detailed product photography shot, editing is done after the shoot just to make sure that every extra spec of dust (which wasn’t intentional) is removed so that the product is the absolute star of the show, and if it ever gets blown up to billboard size, nothing distracts from the product.
Below is a selection of photos from the shoot, both cut-out product photos with transparent backgrounds for magazine use and collage shots by a designer, and full-blown product photography with a scene set.
Also, there is a Behind The Scenes (BTS) video from the shoot.
