What you will learn:
This course will enable you to learn all the basic features of your camera. I will explain all the modes and help you find which setup will be best suited to your needs. This is a hands-on course in the studio and demonstrations and practice will be done in a relaxed friendly environment.

DSLR Camera (A studio camera can be used)
Fully charged batteries (if bringing your own camera)
Empty memory cards (CF cards if you use the studio camera and want to keep any images)
What you will learn:
Ever wondered how a studio worked? Well if you did then you will learn all you need to know in this course. I’ll teach you the basics of flash photography using studio lights and how to achieve different effects. You’ll learn all about scrims, v-flats, flags, light modifiers, etc. This is a great introduction to studio life and will make you confident when you hire a studio that you know what you are doing and enable you to get results from your session.

What you will learn:
We will start with the basics so that you get an understanding of how Lightroom operates and the best workflow to use to make the most of this great piece of software. Literally, every option of the software will be covered so that at least you know it’s capabilities.
For the wedding option then we will cover specific workflows to help you get the most out of your wedding workflow and help you keep your sanity with having such a large amount of files to edit.

Tripod (Loan tripod can be arranged with advance notice)

Suitable clothing for outdoor and the time of year (incl. suitable footwear)
Suitable fitness – we will be walking to location which could involve hills, after a short car ride

What you will learn:
Within your chosen hours we will visit a local attraction and learn to use the camera without all of the auto features.
We will look at composition and light.
We will look at using filters and how they will enhance your image.
On the courses above ‘2 hours’ we will put time aside to look at your photographs on the computer and apply editing techniques, with image critique.
What is provided:
Bottled water is provided on all courses.
On the courses above ‘4 hours’ we will also provide food. Dietary requirements will be asked on the booking form.
