Development is an important part of any discipline, and photography is no different. Although I run my own workshops, there is always something to learn and develop, and I love getting together with other photographers and just being there to be educated and entertained, without thinking about what comes next, and just to enjoy the moment.

This workshop was also about creating Zines around a set of images. Basically, it’s taking a set of connected images and writing a story around them. This might sound like an easy thing to do, but I am not a journalist, and though I preach about telling stories in the commercial videos and photos that I do, writing the words to go with them is not something I do often. I’ll share the zine soon when it’s all finished.

Now, whilst I was thinking about the theme and capturing images to match it, I wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to do some street photography around Birmingham while I was there.
