As a photographer, it can be hard to go somewhere and not take a camera, and this trip was no exception. The only difference nowadays is the amount of kit I take away with me, which has now been whittled down to just a Nikon Zfc with kit lens and a pro mist filter (this wasn’t really necessary, but I like the effect it can produce, which is subtle and not easily added after the photo has been taken – it takes highlights and makes them pop). I have a profile on the camera which I love (and which is also modified from the default), and I shoot everything in this mode as I absolutely love the deep blacks it produces. Yes, these images would look good in colour, and I’m sure over time, some of them will appear in their glorious colour version, but for now, I’m loving this style which works perfectly for the street photography style.
