Work doesn’t have to be all in this country, and last week we visited Prague. Not a place I had been to before, but it was an amazing place from an architectural point of view and one that I absolutely loved exploring. So the alarm went off at 6 am … YES 6 am and I went to wander around the city to get the first morning light (and lack of tourists). I was actually amazed at how busy the place was at that time, people setting up their stores and even painting them and considering they stay open a lot later than we do, that’s a long day.
Prague seemed a very tourist-heavy place, where surprisingly, the tourists seemed miserable (or rude, not smiling, just barging into you, taking up the whole pavement) whilst the locals were happy, smiling and full of chat. Oh, and I think they love their coffee; everywhere was doing ‘proper’ coffee, and I was lapping it up, albeit getting very hyper with my massive caffeine intake (which is saying something for me).
There was a lot of graffiti around the city, but none of it seemed menacing or rude; that could be because I only speak English 🤔, and actually, it added to the experience. But as usual with most places that I go, there was an incredible amount of Irish bars around 🤣 and always a safe bet finding a Hard Rock Cafe 🤘.
All back in the hotel for 8.30, ready for a fantastic breakfast, this happened for a few days and each day I clocked up the step count with the maximum being 27k which I think was a record for me (I don’t do running or anything like that nowadays – not that I ever really did 🤣)
Anyway, below are a few photos from the trip for you to enjoy ☺️
