With my day job being a photographer and videographer based in Kidderminster, you would think that downtime for me was anything but using a camera. But you see photography is my hobby as well as my business and for the last 15 years I’ve been able to keep both going independently and when I get burn out from work (yes, even I get that sometimes) my hobby side has never suffered. This is mainly down to the fact that I have a very distinctive separation between work and play; at work I concentrate and getting the best image or video that will work for the client and my focus is on that end goal, with the hobby side, I focus on just relaxing and seeing the moment, to capture something I want, rather than needing to (This skill also helps my business side 👍🏻).
I also like to do things which I don’t normally do as it’s a great way to learn new techniques and create some stunning images (I also take a few which don’t make the cut). Slimbridge was one of those places that gave me everything I needed, a relaxed environment, coffee, cake and something to photograph. If you’ve never been here it’s a great day out even if you’re not a photographer 😜.
Oh, and there are no photos of Kingfishers, as I apparently don’t have the patience to wait all day for the little fella to make an appearance. 🤣
Below are a few of my favourite images from the day 😁
