A small break in the morning mist allowed the diffused sun light to shine through. Kinver Edge is a well known local attraction and provides something magical on every visit.
This photograph was taken at Quatt in Shropshire on a July evening. The sun was setting to the right and behind me while the moon was just starting to rise in-between the trees. It almost seemed a shame to break this tranquil moment by taking the photograph.
The Lake District is a truly beautiful place and, no matter what the weather, it is always able to surprise you. Sometimes though, in order to get the best shot, you have to take off your shoes and socks and enjoy the freedom of nature.
Sometimes you have to get a bit wet to get the perfect picture. This river, which at times can be several feet higher than seen here, can also show its calm side.
Just down the river from Bewdley, towards Arley, is the Dowles bridge which is an old, part-dismantled railway bridge which remains like a monument to the local history or the area.
Stiperstones, in Shropshire, was the setting for this early evening photograph. The rock formations, breaking into the clouds, create a dramatic impact.
Amroth beach in Wales is a fabulous place in the summer but this was a small break in the weather where I could venture out on the beach in the midst of winter.
