Sometimes you have to get a bit wet to get the perfect picture. This river, which at times can be several feet higher than seen here, can also show its calm side.
The Lake District is a truly beautiful place and, no matter what the weather, it is always able to surprise you. Sometimes though, in order to get the best shot, you have to take off your shoes and socks and enjoy the freedom of nature.
Just down the river from Bewdley, towards Arley, is the Dowles bridge which is an old, part-dismantled railway bridge which remains like a monument to the local history or the area.
Bewdley is a well know market town with the River Severn flowing majestically though it. Set in the Wyre Forest, with plenty of local attractions to entertain everyone, It's an idylic location.
A winter sunrise offers crisp, sharp air to make sure you are fully awake. I love the way the light dances off the willow tree with just a little bit of thawing mist surrounding it. The ice patterns in the foreground lead you into a promising warmth on the horizon.
The Lake District never fails to deliver a location. A Lee Filters Big Stopper was to put streaks in the water which was gently being moved by small breeze.
Amroth beach in Wales is a fabulous place in the summer but this was a small break in the weather where I could venture out on the beach in the midst of winter.
