The Radio Star (well not quite, but a great experience)

The other day, I got asked to talk on the Black Country Radio afternoon show, which focuses on business topics and interviews. I’ve done TV and video but never radio, so of course I jumped at the chance!

What a great environment — everyone is chirpy and very welcoming which, to be fair, is what you would expect or else it would make for very boring radio listening. Dave is the main presenter with his co-host for the segment Steve. Now, Dave is a character (I’m sure he is never lost for words) and is amazingly knowledgeable on most topics, to the point at which I was wondering if he maybe knew more than me, especially as he was a keen amateur photographer  — who I’m sure could have been professional if he so wished. Between the pair of presenters, the conversation flowed fantastically; it was just like talking to two friends, around a table, about your favourite subject.

As a professional commercial photographer, it was my duty to help people on this talkshow and give them tips and advice on helping themselves to take better pictures for their work, including product photography, and also to provide tips on what to ask and look out for when hiring a professional photographer.

So, stay tuned for my next adventure!
